Located just outside of Leeds city centre, Leeds Trinity University is a small and community-oriented university which aims to give each of their students a great experience and ongoing personal support during their studies. Leading with a slogan ‘Where you’re a name not a number’, the University gained a reputation where students go to look for a more bespoke university experience than some of the other big Leeds universities can offer.
Leeds Trinity University has been welcoming students for more than 50 years and its reputation prevails. Inclusive and personal student potential focused, it pioneered the inclusion of professional work placements with every degree which resulted in student employability raising to 95%.
Leeds Trinity students often say that they can feel the university and the teaching staff truly have their interests at heart and provide support every step of the way. For example, The Leeds Trinity Business Network has more than 8,000 business members who offer work placements and internships to students with an aim to help kick-start their career early.
Although Leeds Trinity University is located outside of campus, it can be reach by a quick bus ride. Living at our student accommodation in Leeds city centre, The Foundry, means you’ll have the transport links to campus on your doorstep and be able to enjoy all the buzz and culture this great city has to offer at the same time.
The campus itself is modern and you will have all facilities and technology you might need. Library and IT services live in the Andrew Kean Learning Centre which features collaborative and individual study areas design to keep you engaged and focused. If you’re business-minded, don’t forget to check out the enterprise centre which supports Leeds students by providing a business development hub to explore and develop ideas.
Finally, The Media Centre is the place where you’ll find the latest media technology, from production spaces to equipment you can hire.
Leeds Trinity campus is open and green, so you’ll definitely benefit from a walk around the attractive grounds and fresh air. And if you like exercising outdoors, the outdoor hard courts for netball and tennis or grass football and rugby pitches are provided free for you to use.
Leeds Trinity Students’ Union, while small, is a mighty place offering advice, representation, and plenty of opportunities to meet other Leeds students in a fun and relaxed environment.
In 2019, Leeds Trinity SU opened a brand-new venue, called StUdio, which is based in the main University building and is perfect to hang out with other student during your breaks or after lectures. They’re serving food and drinks day and night and offer a number of events including quizzes and karaoke nights. If you’re a sports fan, here you can also watch live sports like Premier League, Champions League or FA Cup.
The SU Shop, located on the SU landing, is the perfect place to look for that missing stationery you forgot at home or grab a quick lunch on your way to the next class.
Leeds Trinity University has a silver award in the Department for Education’s Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).
